Neil brings to production his valuable experience as a former paratrooper, expedition organiser and journalist. His early work in the theatre with CAST and the Hackney Empire as a writer, director and performer give him an added dimension.

In the 80's Neil worked for the BBC, Trans Africa and Praxis Films a specialist documentary company. In 1990 after making 'The Rave' a low budget film, Neil set up as independent production company rave productions. Rave developed documentaries, live studio based shows, lifestyle and sports magazine programmes for the emerging cable channels. Multi-skilling became a way of life - editing, camera work and researching projects. Neil also ran courses in production and has lectured at the BBC and Ch4 on production, producing and directing.

Dai4Films was set up in late 1998 and moved from London to West Wales - a small step away on the Digital Highway. Produced 'Raw Spice' for ITV and documentaries on Slavery, Fashion Industry, Pop Stars, Jazz and the Rubber Ball for Ch4.

In 1998 Neil was awarded 'Artist of the Year' by Griff Rhys Jones at the Hackney Empire and nominated by ITN News for the International Rory Peck Award. In 2002 Raw Spice was voted best Network documentary of the Year.
